in unterschiedliche Behandlungsgruppen vornahmen. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer gravierenden
Nebenwirkung bei Manipulationen war sehr gering.
Abstract
This qualitative systematic review investigated the effectiveness of manual therapy
compared to other conservative treatment modalities. Manual therapy produced consistent
statistically significant improvement. However, there was disagreement whether other
conventional therapy options can obtain an additional improvement. Sustained success
was only found in studies which classified their subjects in different intervention
groups. The probability of severe side-effects of manual therapy was very low.
